Co-ordination - Wall Target

Louise did the wall target test, this is to test your hand eye co-ordination by throwing a tennis ball, in a marked square, catching it in alternate hands each time for a set period of time. (30 seconds) The muscles Louise used for this test are the deltiod and tricep muscles with assistance from muscles in the forearm and hand. Louise got 16 catches for her test, this is a low score for her age group. If she wanted to improve her score over a period of time she could continue doing this test, increasing the time at first and then lowering it back to 30 seconds or alternatively Louise could do other hand eye co-ordination tests.

Agility - Illinois Agility Run

Agility is the ability to change the position of the body quickly and control the movement of your whole body. In the illinois agility run the primary muscles I used were the gluteus maximus and the hamstrings. I also used the calves and deltoids. The advantages of the illinois agility run is that its consistant in measuring however the disadvantages of the test is that it doesnt completly test your agility as you dont have to change the position of your body fast. A way to make it more reliable would be to place the cones further apart. The illinois agility run will improve your speed and co-ordination.
